YEAR IN REVIEW 2012
Hurricanes, floods and other variations of extreme weather. We survived. 12-12-12-12-12… etc. We survived. 12-21-12… the Mayan apocalypse. We survived. Internet crashes, a tough economic recession, awful service from our public server company, and Gangnam Style… we survived. Not to mention a radical lifestyle change by yours truly which left me to take on a significant reduction in the amount of blogging I do… well I survived (and just barely, god I miss this).
As always, our year end lists are subjective and opinionated. They are made to highlight the tracks you may have missed over the last 365 days and to give you an updated playlist for all New Year’s Eve’s (and beyond) – all while showing off our own eclectic musical style. We have a number of authors for this blog (and some who contribute a hell of a lot more than others, thank you Matthew for keeping this site fresh), and thus these lists may vary.
It is one of my favourite things to do at the end of the year (or in this case two months overdue..), so without rambling any further, I give you.. my best 100 of 2012. May you continue to find good fortune, happiness, health and anything else you desire in this year to come. Let these tunes help get you there.
Cheers 2012, you’ve been fun.
24. SAUVAGE – Glory
25. JUPITER – Sake
28. LOGO – Hello.jpg
32. VALLEY- 1999

YEAR IN REVIEW 2011
Here’s the other half of this blog with my top 100. I can’t believe 2012 is here already! It seems like only yesterday when we were making our list for 2010. But anyway, I hope you all had a great holiday with friends and family and wherever you end up celebrating tonight, we may just have some music to compliment that party.
Here’s my subjective list summarizing the best of 2011:
TOP 100 TRACKS OF 2011 (Pt. 1)
21. Grum – Turn It Up *
28. Lenno – Streets
40. YACHT – Dystopia
75. Pace – In Play?
86. Rusko – Jahova *
100. Franki – Feel
Here’s to a great year in music! We’ve had so much fun finding and bringing to your attention some of the more elusive tracks from artists you didn’t even know you loved. Many thanks for your continued support of aerial noise. It’s been a great pleasure getting to know so many talented artists over the last year as we’ve aimed to spotlight as much fresh and original material as possible. The endeavor to locate and proliferate will surely continue into the new year, so check back often and, again, thanks for all the support!

YEAR IN REVIEW 2010
I originally planned to have this out on January 1st, 2011 but a wise friend recently said it would be nice to have the top 100 list for his upcoming New Year’s Eve party and well… I thought some of you may also share the same sentiment. Enjoy.

Wow! What a year! Personally it was the hardest year I have ever had. Academically, I was finally able to finish my University degree and prepare to move on to bigger and better things. But thanks to the way the Canadian Government has handled the economic situation over the last couple years I’m finding jobs in my field scarce and very hard to come by. So I’m now faced with the decision to either a) further my education and become even more qualified when employment starts opening up again (and thus have a stronger starting income) or b) take my dreams on the road and once again experience the world. Having been to China, Japan, Austria, Germany, France, and some other smaller, more remote places in the past, I’m thinking it’s about that time to buy a ticket overseas. That being said… anyone in Europe or Asia have a nook in their place I can set up shop in?
Besides all that, this past year had me move a total of three times, and four times if you count the library while I studied furiously for seminar exams/papers. I’m now very excited to see and experience what 2011 has in store for myself. But I don’t think I could have quite made it through all the shitty times without such great music coming to us this past year.
I want to personally thank all the artists who submitted music our way. You helped lift us up when times were low and brought us back to the dance floor. I also want to personally thank our fans and readers who made this blog what it is. Without all of you this site would just be a bunch of empty words. You are why we do what we do and I hope it never stops.
Without rambling anymore, here’s our own little recap on 2010.
We wish you all the very best for 2011!

YEAR IN REVIEW 2009
Wow I can’t believe we’re a decade through the new millennium already! I remember the Y2K fear that swept everyone 10 years ago and how I waited patiently, like I probably will in 2012, for the next major apocalypse with the end of the Mayan calendar. Nothing happened in 2000 except for the usual fireworks and a usual raid of the parent liquor cabinets to help supply my underage drinking. A decade later and things are just as good, but different. In the case of music times are good! Here’s our own little recap on 2009.
TOP 100 TRACKS OF 2009
8. La Roux – Bulletproof (Foamo Remix)
13. Miami Horror – Sometimes
64. Kid Cudi – Day N’ Nite (Crookers Remix)
71. CFCF – Monolith
77. Black Eyed Peas – Meet Me Halfway (Van Scott Remix)
