Aerial Noise Summer Remix Contest

Our last remix contest was a large success so we’re back at it again – but this time we are changing things up a bit. This remix contest is going to be centered on chillwave, ambient house, and all genres that are meant for the cottage.

We are asking you to take one of your favourite tracks and spin it into something fluent for those lazy summer days and trips to the beach. You can use any song you want as long as it maintains that relaxing/somewhat soothing vibe when you get finished with it.

If you are looking for specific track stems toss us an email and we will do our best to help you out. If you have any additional questions also toss us an email and we will do our best to guide you through whatever issue you have.

The most important part is upon sending it to us, label the email as: AERIAL NOISE SUMMER REMIX CONTEST (so we can differentiate submissions from PR and personal emails)

How to get involved:

  • Simply create a mix that is of single song length (generally 3-8 mins) that has a summer feel to it (relaxing, chillwave, ambient, etc.)
  • We ask that you be innovative and make it your own.
  • There are no restrictions on which track(s) you wish to touch up.
  • You can use a remix that you have already created… but we prefer hearing new stuff, so it’s your call as to what you want to submit our way.

  • Submit your mix to us at aerialnoise@live.com and address it to us as AERIAL NOISE SUMMER REMIX CONTEST
  • Be sure to include your name, name of the song and the original artist you have mixed (no one likes to breech copyright violations), and any contact info we may need to follow up with you on.
  • Contest closes July 31, 2011.

What’s at stake:

The winner the contest will receive an exclusive interview for our website, with a direct link from the home page to the interview.

The page will be also accessible from the ‘Interview’ section of our site. It will include a spread that will highlight any information you want: i.e. future and past albums, show listings, and any future and past singles/remixes that the public can look forward to getting their hands on. The page can be easily changed throughout the year to include anything new that comes your way as we progress towards 2012. A feature like this will be hopefully up your traffic and  spread the love of music from our fanbase to your records.

In addition, we will do our best to help promote your music by sharing your stuff with our friends on our blog roll. We have a large selection of great music blogs that are always searching for great music so we would love to send your stuff to our contacts.

We are attempting to add a few new features to the site in the next little while that may also greatly benefit the winner but we will not be able to release any info about this until they are finalized. We would never take away any of the rewards for winning the contest but their could be some additional perks for winning this one.

We will be marking the track on the following:

  • how creative and innovative the track is.
  • how difficult the mix is (from the original to the final product).
  • how the vocal samples are used.
  • the overall fluidity of the track as a whole.
  • how close the mix sticks to the genre we are looking for.

The First Ever Aerial Noise Mini-Mix Contest!

Since we are ringing in a new year, some of us here at aerial noise thought it would be awesome to start opening up the site even more to artists, specifically by sharing some of your very own mini-mix’s with the world! Therefore we are starting up our very first Mini-Mix contest!

How to get involved:

  • Simply create a mix that is no longer than 20 minutes using your favourite artists, tracks, samples and beats.
  • We ask that you be innovative and make it your own.
  • There are no restrictions on the amount of artists or genres you can blend together.
  • You can use a mini-mix that you have already created… but we prefer hearing new stuff, so it’s your call as to what you want to submit our way.

If we get a large enough response with this one we hope to do this every 3-4 months.

  • how creative and innovative the track is
  • how smooth the fluidity of each transition from track to track is/or beat to beat is within the song
