PNAU – Unite Us [Kris Menace Remix]

PNAU‘s single “Unite Us” is released sometime in February next year (at least in the UK), but that doesnt mean we can’t get a small taste of one of the remixes on the single. This one from Kris Menace is pretty cool… can’t wait for the release!

A Sand Dancing Mix by THE BRIZZLE

Showcasing an array of talented mixes being gelled together seamlessly for 1 hour and 54 minutes, a little cheeky monkey called The Brizzle (literally), paw-flexes his talent across a DJ mixer and imparts 26 track mix of most recent and currently exciting electronic flavours.

For those like myself who just become accustomed to The Brizzle’s new found charm, then I am glad to report back that he is a most humble and cuddly character, refers to himself as an oversized stuffed monkey (but I can’t see where the extra weight is) and spends most of his time sitting in shop windows and spinning records for anyone who walks on by his lonely spot.

For three years now, The Brizzle has been scouring the web for fresh, new tunes and releasing a 2hr mix to commit to that audio love. Introducing others to sounds that they may have missed, but also wanting to capture a good groove which all of his mixes are built for; is what is needed for good ol’ fashioned dancing in The Brizzle’s eyes.

All of the tracks that are mostly featured are new ones, but The Brizzle equally wants to throw in some ol’ old skool numbers from time-to-time too. His own personal soundcloud of bear-heaven would include anything from electronica to balearic to disco to hip-hop to indie to experimental. And with many, many more genres to add into that melting pot, then it’s pretty much ALL the other genres listed below that we feature on Aerial Noise – and then some!

This latest mix from The Brizzle is entitled “Sand Dancing” and not only is it available to download for free, but it starts off with a balearic, nu-disco vibe and then moves onto an electro territory before charging through with some progressive tunes before settling into a lighter, more airy uplifting finale.

The Brizzle says the whole idea of this mix is for dancing on the beach to at midnight, with the sand between your toes and that ‘ol, distinctive smelling narcotic’ in either hand, but without the leanings that infamous herb, The Brizzle has spent his time giving back to the inspiration foothold that has lead to this mix and has brilliantly set up a platform for more exciting DJ mixes to drop.

Looking forward to more Brizzle.. and stop stealing my nuts!!

PNAU – The Truth [CD-R]

Newcomers, Pnau release their own personal ode to the motion picture “A Few Good Men…”

Nah, only kidding!

But in soothing the ongoing anxieties and heartaches that folk might go through after realising that an ex GF/BF wasn’t who they first thought they were (when they first started going out with them), Pnau come to town with a track entitled ‘The Truth’ which slaps back out some extra-lovely remixes and tells that Little Devil (on your shoulder) to take “One Big F.U!”

Sam La More ocean-fies his re-take by setting in some summery chords and a number of wicked rises and stabs, while Chris Lake is relentless with the same inspired method, and covers the audio glossing with a wicked punchy finish that sets up WAFA’s version ever so nicely.

WAFA go back-to-the-old-skool with their truth keeping flavours and come up with a kept-vocal method that would keep any Pringles stock share holder enormously cherished indeed.

Overall – it’s a tremendous uplifting record – which doesn’t divert heavily for such a very sad tale.

PNAU + Jump Jump Dance Dance

Jump Jump Dance Dance are preparing for a big year in 2011. Their first plan of action is to take on the newly resurfaced PNAU by remixing their new single The Truth. From here you can expect a lot of polished mixes to come out in the future that are fitting for the dancefloor and their name. We have a lot of great material in the archives if you can’t wait any longer for more danceable tracks.

It’s also great to see PNAU back in action after a long hiatus. They are planning to drop an album towards the end of September and will most likely drop more pre-released mixes of future tracks as we near closer to that date. For now we just have that stunning mix by JJDD.

Pnau – Embrace [Will Reckless Bootleg]

Sydney, Australia’s Will Reckless has yet another great bootleg of PNAU’s Embrace for us all to take advantage of today. Reckless, who has just released his third single Ma Ma Alle on Beatport, received major radio and live support from artists Tiesto and David Guetta for his bootleg of B.O.B’s Airplanes; and later received tons of attention from Radio 1′s Kissy Sell Out for the latest single Disco Tweakin’.

The newest is a fantastic rendition of the old classic.

Check out the new production on Beatport today.

Miami Horror!

Miami Horror continues to evolve. From old-school party jams to modern day pop anthems, the act still has it. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia Miami Horror has evolved into a large electro act including Josh Moriarty, Aaron Shanahan, Daniel Whitechurch and the talented producer and project creator Benjamin Plant. Before the trio tagged along, Plant had already gained a following using the Miami Horror alias to produce a few exceptional remixes, one being Stardust’s Music Sounds Better With You.

As Miami Horror, Plant made his commercial debut in 2008 with a five-track EP, ‘Bravado’, on Virgin Records. The EP features the song “Don’t Be On with Her”, for which a promotional video was released online. Miami Horror has since been signed to EMI Music for distribution in Australia and France.

Check out more Miami Horror here! They are performing all across the United States the next month. If you’re in North America maybe you can make these dates.

The top two featured tracks are from the album Illumination that dropped August 20.2010. Pick it up here! As a little bonus included below are my own personal favourites.

Miami Horror – Holidays

Miami Horror Feat. Kimbra – I Look To You

Miami Horror – Make You Mine

Ladyhawke Remixes [Delerium & Embrace]

Walter Sobcek released a new remix to Ladyhawke’s Delerium.  This track just doesn’t get old. Sobcek’s edit is based on soft melodies all while tossing in Ladyhawke’s unique and distinctive vocals.  The two make a beautiful combo together.

The second remix is by far my favourite Ladyhawke remix ever.  It was pulled from the archives so its not new by any means. Fred Falke and Miami Horror do wonders for this remix.  It is a perfect blend of signature synth from Falke, amazing originality by Miami Horror, and effortless vocals by Ladyhawke to tie it all together beautifully.

Miami Horror!

electrogirl

Benjamin Plant, the 21 year-old writer/producer for Miami Horror, has made an incredible impact in the industry this past year. “Music is my life” says Vanguarde in an interview with 0hhcr4pp. “My music is all about creating lasing feeling for its listeners, I think of myself as a composer in which I can create something from anything I feel has a certain power, potential or emotion to it whether it is a chord progression/melody… etc played by me or not it is all about making something special and memorable.” With influences from Prince, Supertramp, Fleetwood Mac, and Abba, Miami Horrors provides an uplifting sound that screams retro 80′s vibe. Plant delivers on his message, and his music. Songs such as “Make You Mine” and “Don’t Be On With Her” are so sick and should be checked out immediately! The Hype Machine will provide for a solid star

Embrace ft. Ladyhawke (Fred Falke & Miami Horror remix) – PNAU

And a proper dance floor banger, we had posted the instrumental version a couple days ago, but lets be honest with each other, have a listen and tell me the vocals don’t bring the noise, which is a great thing, seriously though, let me quote “on the dance floor is where I’ll provide/ shake our hips as we collide”… wow. Anyways, I digress, have a listen and judge for yourself, and if by chance you find yourself shivering with joy and dancing by yourself, find comfort in the fact that while at that moment you may by yourself but exactly the same emotions are being shared across digital borders. mad love.
