A Sand Dancing Mix by THE BRIZZLE

Showcasing an array of talented mixes being gelled together seamlessly for 1 hour and 54 minutes, a little cheeky monkey called The Brizzle (literally), paw-flexes his talent across a DJ mixer and imparts 26 track mix of most recent and currently exciting electronic flavours.

For those like myself who just become accustomed to The Brizzle’s new found charm, then I am glad to report back that he is a most humble and cuddly character, refers to himself as an oversized stuffed monkey (but I can’t see where the extra weight is) and spends most of his time sitting in shop windows and spinning records for anyone who walks on by his lonely spot.

For three years now, The Brizzle has been scouring the web for fresh, new tunes and releasing a 2hr mix to commit to that audio love. Introducing others to sounds that they may have missed, but also wanting to capture a good groove which all of his mixes are built for; is what is needed for good ol’ fashioned dancing in The Brizzle’s eyes.

All of the tracks that are mostly featured are new ones, but The Brizzle equally wants to throw in some ol’ old skool numbers from time-to-time too. His own personal soundcloud of bear-heaven would include anything from electronica to balearic to disco to hip-hop to indie to experimental. And with many, many more genres to add into that melting pot, then it’s pretty much ALL the other genres listed below that we feature on Aerial Noise – and then some!

This latest mix from The Brizzle is entitled “Sand Dancing” and not only is it available to download for free, but it starts off with a balearic, nu-disco vibe and then moves onto an electro territory before charging through with some progressive tunes before settling into a lighter, more airy uplifting finale.

The Brizzle says the whole idea of this mix is for dancing on the beach to at midnight, with the sand between your toes and that ‘ol, distinctive smelling narcotic’ in either hand, but without the leanings that infamous herb, The Brizzle has spent his time giving back to the inspiration foothold that has lead to this mix and has brilliantly set up a platform for more exciting DJ mixes to drop.

Looking forward to more Brizzle.. and stop stealing my nuts!!

June 2010 Recap

Round Up #5: Monarchy, Diamond Cut, Warrior One, Foals

Sorry for falling off the face of the earth. Another week being buried in books is coming, and another week in music has past… here’s whats helping me ease the pain:

I finally stumbled into a digital copy of The Phoenix Alive this week by Monarchy. I’ve listened to it a couple of times from secondary sources but it’s nice to have something to pass on [See Monarchy past - 1 | 2 | 3 | 4]. The UK duo started spread many light disco delights across the blogosphere last year with Gold In The Fire and since have really honed their own style. As a bonus we included another remix from Kris Menace.

If you want more hit hypem for tons more accessible goodies to boost your library with including another remix from Hot City on The Phoenix Alive; but if you’re just looking for a listen, take a gander across  Monarchy’s myspace for more gems.

Diamond Cut beats are sensationally epic. This new mix to the brand new artist in M’Black’s Heartbreak is no different. The NY guys know how to spread some infectious disco vibes. For more Diamond Cut stuff, check out some old stuff we posted here… you won’t be disappointed.

M’Black – Heartbreak (Diamond Cut Remix)

Warrior One tosses up a dirty mix to Foreign Office’s Leaving The House. There’s lots of great elements within so I hope you enjoy it. And if you don’t know who Warrior One are? Try this…

“Warrior One are 2 people. One of them is called 4. Both are 29. One lives East London. One lives West. One is from Dublin. One of them isn’t. One is the producer. One is the reducer. Warrior One is a master yoga pose dedicated to Virabhadra, the name of a fierce warrior incarnation of Shiva, who had a thousand heads, a thousand eyes, and a thousand feet, and wields a thousand clubs whilst wearing a tiger’s skin. Deadly.” – myspace

I bet you’re still in the dark but honestly what does it matter when the duo produce remixes like this?:

Round Up #2: Monarchy. Evan Voytas. Beatfanatic. Super Mal. Classixx. Penguin Prison.

What the fuccck is a Round-Up?

AN Definition: Round Up [round] [uhp] (n.)

- Is my way of trying to keep with life and music at the same time for the next little while.

For a more detailed explanation:

Overwhelmed with school I’m forced to do round-ups for the next month or so.  I don’t have the time to individually wrap up some of these artists below… or those in the coming weeks for that matter. For that I apologize as everyone of these featured artists deserves their own spotlight and their own extensive tribute. My comrades will no doubt keep you updated as usual while I slow down so there’s no need to worry about a lack of material hitting the site. But I figured I deserved you all an explanation for the slight deviated role and appearance you’ll see in March. I prefer to do the one artist-per-post style like the old AN so expect that to return late April if not sooner!

Much respect goes out to those who hit my round-ups… you are keeping me sane through the toughest part of my degree.  If successful I’ll see you on the other side of the stage- diploma in hand. Ha, wish me luck.

Monarchy [Black, The Colour Of My Heart]

Monarchy recently released their second official track.  Following up Gold In The Fire, it sticks with their established low tempo sound with some big emotional vibes.  The piano that kicks in accents the track so well. I continue to be impressed with these guys.  Stick onto their myspace like glue as they continue to release some great stuff.

Penguin Prison [Remixes]

Alright so a few days back we were raving about these new remixes to finally grace Monarchy’s myspace. Well, we finally scored some copies.  One of them is a phenomenal disco take to Penguin Prison’s A Funny Thing. It’s real fun and playful.  Without a doubt it has that catchy vibe that will have you hooked and singing by the end of it.

Erik Hassle – Hurtful (Penguin Prison Remix)

Gold In The Fire [Monarchy+Diamond Cut]

The original is a month old but still has that soft captivating sound that we all enjoy. I was buzzin off Gold In The Fire for its initial three weeks before it slowly started to fade from my speakers and take its rightful place within my library. The London-based duo Monarchy have a lot of people talking after October’s debut success.

They have finally released some new tracks!! All of which are actually not half bad. I’m a big fan of the Penguin Prison Remix (found on myspace).  Still, I haven’t been able to find anything released to share but if something comes up I will definitely toss it up.  For now check out all the new stuff on their myspace.

What prompted me to bring this track back up again is the brand new remix by Diamond Cut. I know we just mentioned them a few days prior but we somehow crossed paths or were writing the post as he was producing because we somehow missed it.  It’s a great 80s-esque remix.  I dig it.

monarchy

The new demo from Monarchy is impressive to say the least.  The London duo are bringing some flare to some soft electro jams.  The track starts off slow until the melodies break into one another, from there it simply takes off.  I’m digging every second of it.  It’s hard to throw out a comparison for you because there’s many different elements to it.  A great mood track to carry you throughout the night.  Brilliant.  I wish I had a label so I could attempt to sign these guys.

russ chimes

Russ Chimes is a pretty sure thing when it comes to providing gold for the dance floor.  His latest remix comes from LA Nights, which is now available on itunes.  It’s the typical smash from Chimes who never ever seems to disappoint.  Myspace is a good place to catch more bangers.

Fabian – Heatwave (Russ Chimes Remix)

chromeo

I’m sure by now you’ve all caught the new single Night by Night from Chromeo released a few weeks back.  All the remixes have came and gone and for now, I found one that really leaves a punch.  Skream’s remix just barely edged out the new version from DJ Anonymous.  The laidback take does wonders to compliment the pop-based lead vocals from Dave 1.  But I still love the funky rework Anonymous does.  Anyway I included both, if you feel like sharing post your fav.  If you don’t have the original electric avenue has it for you here.

Alan Braxe is one of the few individuals who can reproduce mainstream music into listening gold.  Not that teeny boppers don’t have an ear for great music….”To the window! To the wall!” haha; I’m just saying that Braxe definitely knows how to turn it up a notch and it doesn’t matter what piece of music you start him out with.  The newest remix to hit us last week was Broken-Hearted Girl.  Fantastic Dub remix, but there’s a slow and bothersome Radio Edit out there… so don’t get confused.  The ‘right’ version is listed below.

Beyoncé – Broken-Hearted Girl (Alan Braxe Dub Remix)

The interview above is crazy fascinating and Too Many Sebastians led me to it so thanks for that.
