Paris [In Flagranti + Siskid]

When you can’t visit Paris you might as well settle for the next best thing: the sounds of Paris. This package is the latest release from the label Ekler’o'shock. It’s a label that has been growing exponentially this past year. With artists like Danger, Data, Hours of Worship, and now Paris, I can guarantee that there will be a lot more hits coming out of this label following this epic release.

Paris sounds like a mix of Joy Division and some hardened contemporary disco-electro. Started by Nicolas Ker from the French band Poni Hoax he recently joined forces with Arnaud Roulin, Mike Theis and Maxime Delpierre. Together the foursome do more than just hit the spot; They create music so innovative and original they have already caught the attention of some premiere remixers and producers. One being the incredible In Flagranti who really chews it up in the track In Crowded Subways. Enjoy.

Buy the whole digital release at iTunes or buy the 12″ vinyl on EOS Online Store.

Monday Conglomerate

It’s a triple threat Monday! I couldn’t decide what to post so all three of these should do. If you’re already having a bad start to the week maybe one of these will help ease the pain.

To lead things off we have Martyn. An individual who I didn’t know much about before hearing this track. Now I have his myspace tabbed and there’s more to hear than this beauty below.

This track can be found off Tiga’s album Gentle Giant Remixes, released July 12, 2010 on Turbo Recordings. Purchase that album here.

Tiga – Gentle Giant (Martyn’s Heaven Remix)

I think most of us can just look at who is involved in this next track and almost know before you hear it, that it will be something you will want to hear again. Bold statement but it will live up. You have got to love those riffs.

In Flagranti – Business Acumen (Holy Ghost! Cover Version)

A little disco-pop mix to cheer things up a bit. Edwin Van Cleef has produced some dancefloor hits in the past, some of which remain hot today, but this feel-good track could impact just about anybody. A perfect cure for the Monday woes.

Housse De Racket – Champions (Edwin Van Cleef Remix)

Ali Love [Tronik Youth Got The Love Mix]

Travis from Big Stereo was all over Ali Love’s remixes last week. But why not? The track Love Harder is getting tons of attention across the blogosphere.  It’s a classic electro-pop song with catchy verses.  I think it’s Tronik Youth’s remix that sets the standard with a heavy disco vibe all while including Love’s soulful pop samples.

Gimme [In Flagranti Remix]

I really, and I mean really are starting to ‘come to terms’ with this new In Flagranti track.  For only being four minutes it packs quite the punch while combining almost every genre I’m digging right about now.  I’m talking disco, funk, electro, house, and everything in between.  So needless to say, I’m frustrated with how good In Flagranti are… bastards!

P.S.  How good is this track!

BOTTIN [Remixes]

Bottin comes across as that disco man with an electric jazz flavour. His sound is real effin smooth! Guglielm Bottin is a producer, dj and sound designer based in Venice, Italy. 2009 is looking to be a no easy year as he’s releasing a 14-track album titled Horror Disco (Bear Funk UK) as well as two 12″ singles. Horror Disco is out this month! so keep an ear out and a watchful eye for it’s release here.  Bottin’s sound is real unique. It’s self-described as, “an impredictable journey into space disco, italo rarities, & deep funk. A reckless blend of retro-futuristic sounds and contemporary electronica that always sets the dancefloor on fire.” And well, that just about sums it up.

Space – Carry On, Turn Me On (Bottin Remix)

Bottin – Disco For The Devil (In Flagranti Mix)

Hold On To That Heavy Orange Box

Andy Webb, the Sydney man behind Disco Delicious and talented producer of Ottos Golden Journey, has sent us his latest mash-up remix.  Hold On To That Heavy Orange Box layers Holy Ghost!, Metro Area, In Flagranti, Barbara Norris, and The Rapture to create a stellar masterpiece.  Following what he started in ’08, watch for this track to blow up over the course of the year as more and more people stumble across it.  Great, great mix.  Thanks for sending this in A.W.
