When a remix is moulded to perfection, it pretty much sounds like this … So its with great pleasure that we salute Cosmonaut Grechko.. never the magpies and never the guy who might have a bit of bum fluff on the upper part of his lip as a poor excuse for facial attire via the small shape of a little square. Goulding has never sounded more scrumptious.

LYKKE LI – I Know Places (DJSB Remix)
A wonderful array of remixes dropped onto our doorstep a few weeks ago, with new boy to the fold Lewis Godowski aka DJSB/DJ Sake Bomb dropping his own versions of Katy Perry’s ‘E.T,’ Ellie Goulding’s ‘Starry Eyed’ and Rihanna’s ‘Only Girl (In The World).’
However on this occasion, we highlight the mighty best out of this package and bring to you his version of Lykke Li’s wonderful ‘I Know Places’ with it most assuring melody and wonderful craftsmanship to the fold. And definitely sending this one into orbit for a mere three minutes & forty three seconds straight.
Portland, Oregon watch out!
The SoniXx + Stephan Jacobs both tackle The Elle’Star!!
In a remarkable throw-up of electronic creativity, The SoniXx and Stephan Jacobs both equally provide a thirst-quenching, off kiltering-audio-smashin’-surprise inspired by two very different Ellie Goulding recent Originals.‘Lights’ from Montreal, Canada’s The SoniXx takes a big chunk of Ellie’s vocals at the start and whilst teasing the opening of the remix with its big lead vocal, he slams the whole track back into a completely different movin n’ melodic endorsed eee-craze-tech number.
Now if we thought that was all over, yet another Los Angeles native flying amongst our midsts as Stephan Jacobs, creates a genuine dreamlike melody for plenty of Goulding-minded airwaves to enjoy. Sanctioned by all things magical and uplifting through the chopping-up art of looped vocals and peanut butter like spreads, Ellie’s vocals cover a four minute and forty eight second bit of toast that seems never ending in its entire surreal state of electronic-ness.
Both producers/DJs on showcase here will in no doubt receive further seminal praise as the months and the initial years roll on by. All we can hope for is that their future productions are as good as their last. The new Kats are-in-the-house!
Monsieur Adi – Chariot
I love the sweeping, orchestral flair Monsieur Adi brings to his remixed tracks, especially his stunning manipulations of Ellie Goulding’s music, not to mention the inspired work done to Reni Lane’s “Place For Us”. While know primarily for his remixes and the We Are The Romans EP thus far, the trickle of original material from Monsieur Adi will hopefully grow to a torrent in the near future, beginning with “Chariot”, a fresh composition prepared for his forthcoming EP. Adi seems to have created an operatic beast by making use of violins, brass instruments, a subtle female choir, and vocoders, over a bludgeoning beat. Things came out diabolical, and rife with tension the whole way through, and I imagine “Chariot” mirrors the dramatic aspirations of Adi’s highly anticipated, upcoming EP…

ELLIE GOULDING – Starry Eyed (Dexcell Remix) [Bye]
With this being Ellie’s most well received debut release and (at the time) was certainly not her last, we take a trip into Cosmic Gate’s DeLorean for a second time and come back with a Dexcell retake on ‘Starry Eyed.’
Wall to wall drum & bass, is the gold star service which crowns this sovereign, but NOT in the form of over exuberant darkness and highly extreme bass-end patterns.
Light enough to served on your golden ended toast of the mornings, Dexcell shows the world that truthful light is at the end of the tunnel and sets things up perfectly for any ‘fine tuned’ playlists that are awaiting the next unexpected tune!
Occupy loudly!!
ELLIE GOULDING – Guns And Horses (James Rutledge / Neo Tokyo Remixes) [Polydor]
One of the very first Ellie Goulding promos that I ever received was this one – ‘Guns And Horses.’
(I was a bit late on her debut release ‘u see!) And pretty much since then, I’ve been keeping tracks of Goulding’s material (and to see if her PR team lives up to their own hype) for more interesting sounds and further more excuses to turn up my speaker bins to max!
On ‘Guns & Horses,’ Neo Tokyo provides a truly cosmic remix that sharpens those extraterrestrial rhythms and hugs your ears back with lots of sensational aura. James Rutledge however, breaks through the junior school sports day tape and celebrates his time stretching version of progressive dance music perfectly.
That’s the reason why we like it, and that’s the reason why it’s special, just like you!
ELLIE GOULDING – The Writer (Alan Braxe Remix) [Polydor]
It’s been long awaited, but I’ve managed to come across a lovely Alan Braxe reinterpretation on Ellie Goulding’s dulcet tones.
It seems that everyone and their brass farthing as fallen under the spell of Ellie’s honey like vocals and have been inspired to create some melodious remixes to boot. So we present you with yet another outtake courtesy of a true bonafide producing legend, Mr. Alan Braxe.

Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding’s voice accents electronic mixes so well. Whenever I hear another remix it always takes me back. This weekend, I found another. She is quite talented but so are all these couple of artists who put their own lively and unique touch on some of her tracks. Find more through a quick search on here. As a little bonus find her performing a duet to Passion Pit’s Sleepyhead. Her voice is instantly captivating and raw ability leaves a one hell of a lasting impression. Needless to say I’m excited for the next album and overplaying the last one.
Elena Jaine “Ellie” Goulding is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist. Her debut single released on Polydor Records in 2009 and since she hasn’t looked back- dominating the charts with hit singles like Starry Eyed, Under The Sheets and Lights along the way.

Monsieur Adi [Remixes]
Monsieur Adi’s debut EP is out now! The hard hitting musician/producer has put together a number of tantalizing remixes over the last few years and now you can find them all in one place. Adi has an interesting way of embedding dynamic electro music through soft artists to create a ferocious tandum of pop and party music. The new Ellie Goulding remix is like no other and stays true to that statement. Absolutely illin’. Find Adi’s EP We Are The Romans available on Beatport!
Ellie’s new single Guns And Horses releases May 17.10 on Polydor Records.

Sam Sparro – [Select Remixes]
Sam Sparro is creative and simply a magician when it comes to performing vocals while producing his own music…
Only a few names come to mind when we restrict the search to these prolific boundaries. Calvin Harris is probably the most well-known among the DJ vocalist/producers, but Sparro once held his own among the top household names. While he has slowly became more dormant over these past few years others have carried his prestige by creating interesting and entertaining remixes off his music. Ellie Goulding and The Presets covers and remixes became my favourite and led the pack of tributary artists. Here are a few of those remixes plus a little bonus from the quick hands of Sam Sparro himself.

Max Vangeli + Russ Chimes [Starry Eyed Remixes]
The 23-year-old Ellie Goulding is gorgeous. And so are her next round of remixes. She starts her Northern European tour March 03, 2010 after a few early dates late January/early February. If you’re anywhere near the Isles, check the blonde bombshell’s myspace for the dates. In the meantime…
Russ Chimes and Max Vangeli (+AN21) do wonders for Ellie’s Starry Eyed. The Vangeli/21 mix is a rip from BBC Radio 1′s Pete Tong’s show. Lots of synth, rhythm and beats for the dance soul and I love the softening of Ellie’s voice in this mix. Great pull. Few days late but worth the respect.
