After a few months of listening to Calvin Harris’ single Feel So Close, I can honestly say it has officially grown on me. The multi-talented Scottish DJ, Producer and Singer has created the perfect bassline to accompany his vocals. It’s catchy, invigorating and delightful. The song debuted at number two in Ireland, becoming his highest-charting single in the country. In the United Kingdom, the song debuted at number two becoming Harris’ sixth solo top 10 single. Lately everything he touches turns to dance-like gold.

Enfant are a British electronic music trio consisting of twin brothers Ali Owen, Robin Owen and Ed Ellis. Earlier this year, inspired by some recent records, Robin and Ali decided it was time to ditch their guitars for synths and start a new project. They called in Ed (a previous bandmate) and the three of them hit the studio and began writing.
In August 2011 they emerged from their London basement studio as a collected group with their first tracks. Their debut single and videp, Waking Up In The Sun, was released September 2011 and can be seen/heard above. We think they echo some early Cut Copy and could be destined for some big things.

I’m pretty sure that when Keljet adjusted their sights on creating the perfect bootleg from Faithless’s “The Dance” LP last year; they then DIDN’T expect the ruddy über-band to announce suddenly that they were gonna end their 15/16-year-legacy!!!!!
Refusing to let an upside down smile gain the better of future foresight, Keljet injects another powerful reminder into why most of our ears and hearts have been fortunate enough to discover one of the greatest electronic dance music factions and stage performance-based groups the world has seen five times over.
For a concept and a dance band who have influenced millions worldwide and entertained hundreds upon thousands over the last decade and a half, then it was truly a sad, sad day when Faithless decided to announce a surprising-like LCD Soundsystem-type statement and broadcast to the world that Faithless would be no more.
So from one true fan to another.. any future original Faithless-productions that would-be-in-the-waiting or their any forthcoming, live and always-euphoric stage performances highlighting their craft/electricity, will undeniably be missed – Indefinitely.
Below is an interview that was conducted with Maxi Jazz and Sister Bliss last year by our friends-in-arms over @ Data Transmission, swiftly followed by the official ‘God Is A DJ’ music video by non-other than those stage legends formally known as… Faithless.
Home of the Swedish House Mafia, Eric Prydz, The Knife, John Dahlbäck, Avicii, Lykke Li, Adam Beyer, Minilogue and many, many other talented beings.. Robyn and Sveriges TV record a one hour long documentary together highlighting the artist’s initial days as a nineties artist, through to her work on last year’s “Body Talk” – with segments of special off-the-cuff interviews from former managers, music producers and her all important family, spilling the beans about her hectic childhood.
The documentary is entirely in Swedish, however if you glance your eyes below to that ol’ famous You Tube “up-arrow icon” in the bottom right hand corner of the videos.. and then click “CC,” the English subtitles are shown for your viewing pleasure. Thanks goes out to You Tuber – R8ght for providing the translation.
Featuring the enchanting voice of Sarah Assbring (El Perro Del Mar), Unspoken is the latest single from Pacific!’s alt pop ballet Narcissus. The song tells the story of Narcissus’ admirer Echo, rejected by the vain Narcissus, she leads a lonely life, pining for her unrequited love and fading away, until only her voice remains. Beautiful, simple, elegant, and a must have for all you Pacific! fans.
With remixes from Santiago & Bushido, Moonlight Matters, Alex Gopher & Pierrick Devin and Anoraak, the single was released on April 18th. Check out Anoraak and Moonlight Matters remixes below!

Pacific! is the sun-kissed, blissed-out baby of Bjorn Synneby and Daniel Hogberg — two childhood friends from the seaside city of Gothenburg, Sweden, whose natural Scandinavian feel for the idyll is evident in a musical aesthetic that is as charming and as it is uninhibited.
Since the early days of the last decade, Synneby and Hogberg have been sewing a patchwork of manifold influences to imbue their delicately crafted pop-not-pop songs with a distinct joie de vivre that seems to hark back and look forward simultaneously. West-Coast, Baroque, Daft Punk, Beach Boys — you could mention any one of these in the same breath, yet Pacific!’s sound remains unmistakably their own: love songs for the new century, dance music for outside the club, nonchalant romance for the carefree generation. The band’s debut album Reveries surfaced in 2008 on Swedish label, Dolores Records, to wide critical acclaim and offered an increasingly musically-aware public a breeze of harmonic and melodic fresh air.
With a mindset that’ll make most slackers and shirkers shudder, this fantastically poised Dutch duo handle the definition of eclectic quite brilliantly. Rimmer London’s remix on The Netherlands own Classic Brothers polish up an already abundant showcase of shiny jewels on this overly packed crown already. With an audio snapshot digested perfectly from off their album called “Off,”the single release ‘Beast’ sounds like it wouldn’t sound out of place on Warp Records’ artist books at all.
Rimer London’s creative powers can’t seem to not stop infecting the headstrong, so alongside the videos for ‘Beast’ and his own track with Cata.Pirata called ‘Love Dagger,’ deep n’ devastating funky routines are continued over ‘Squaring The Triangle‘ in a no-holds-barred, unadulterated fashion. The Buzzin’ Fly empire would be proud.
If you haven’t booked your tickets for Ibiza this year, then start hunting around for any cheap or immediate flights – pronto Aerials! (As I’m sure that the seats and prices will eventually rise on upwards or vanish, if not done so already.)
As well as the regular clubbing haunts like Amnesia, Privilege, Pacha, Es Paradis and Eden to venture onwards to, then no doubt Space in Ibiza will be getting geared up for one heck of an opening AND closing party. Roll on the 2011 Ibiza season!
Space Opening Fiesta 2011 @ Space, Ibiza starts on the 29th May 2011 from 16:30 to 06:00 featuring Carl Cox, John Digweed, Yousef, Steve Lawler, Cristian Varela and Technasia – with many more brilliant acts to be added…
The Dirty Tees and MC Films & Photography present The Speed of Lights. This short film is broken into three acts being The Beginning, The Lights, and The Journey. The film explores The Dirty Tees in their truest form by showing off their aspirations while outlining their future goals. It was shot in autumn and winter of 2010.
The track below is their newest single entitled Flashback. It is a fitting title for a track that awakenings a sense of nostalgia from within oneself; almost as if it’s instantly forcing you to start reminiscing about your own memories.
Kenny Summit and Lord G’s newest collab remix has a lot of people raving including some of the very best in the genre from Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfield, Roger Sanchez, Fedde Le Grand, Steve Angello, DJ Antoine, Jerry Ropero, and Above & Beyond to name a few. The track sports some great grooving house vibes that magically lift you onto a tethered cloud of awesomeness. Synth splashes and a delightful horn back drop only add to its miraculous goodness. Memoria is one track you’ll be blessed to have.
What happened to me in September? I’m not too sure because somehow I missed one of the hotter GRUM tracks of the year. And to make things that more exciting, one of the remix packages included a little Beaumont… what a combo! ‘Little’ is far from the vocabulary I should be using to describe this track. Together the dynamic duo create nine minutes of pure dance pleasure. With epic synths, pop-styled drops, and house rendered breaks this track seems to have it all.
To those who came across it months ago I apologize. I will have a little something special tomorrow. To those who also missed it, Enjoy! I know you will.
“Drive, straight through the night. We can make it home before daylight. And I’ll be by your side.”
Another hot remix from Fare Soldi has came our way. So if your chilly from the brisk winter you won’t have to go far to warm up. With spicy disco breaks and a heavy electrified backbone, the Duran Duran mix to Rio is hot enough you won’t need a fireplace. These guys are good, and I mean real good.
They blew us away earlier with their mix to Duck Sauce’s Barbara Streisand. A mix that will no doubt fall somewhere in our 2010 Year in Review that counts down the top 100 tracks to come our way this past year. As they progress further and harness that particular style and sound, they will no doubt be coming into 2011 being one of the hottest and most sought out big time remixers. If you haven’t had the chance to see a show, it’s about time you did. Check below to see if you are near one of these cities the next time the duo hit the stage.

Daft Punk’s affiliation with the soon to be released Disney megamonster sequel Tron Legacy is making quite the bang across the internet. Since we love everything Daft Punk, I couldn’t let this go unnoticed.
The album leaked about a week ago (I still recommend grabbing yourself a copy as I really don’t like to advocate piracy). However, you should all know that this is nothing like Discovery 2, so don’t expect to be able to drop the album at every party you attend. All the tracks were produced for the Disney movie. Nonetheless, the duo are back producing which makes me more and more excited about the possibility of another album to come across us in the distant future. Hopefully the idea isn’t too far off from their minds as well.
To celebrate everything going on we have a sample of one of the hotter tracks off the official soundtrack entitled Derezzed.

Also included is one of the many official trailers for the film. The film is due out December 17.2010. If you think it looks good now just wait until you see it in 3D. It certainly is a step up from Snow White, Beauty and The Beast, and all those others; not to suggest the cult classics are bad but Jeff Bridges + 3D super advanced motorcycles sound pretty cool.
CSS (Cansei de Ser Sexy) are a Brazilian rock band from São Paulo. The band was quickly labeled by many as part of the explosion of the New Rave scene that started to expand in early 2000′s. CSS is an abbreviation for Cansei de Ser Sexy, which literally means ‘Got tired of being sexy‘ in Portuguese. Rumour has it the band ‘stole’ the phrase when they heard Beyoncé say in an interview that she was ‘tired of being sexy’.
The band initially formed in 2003 and consisted of four close friends. Their first works from 2003-2006 were produced in Portuguese and became steady hits among the Brazilian charts including the Brazilian Hot 100 and the Brazilian Hit Parade. The largest being the 2006 hit Superafim.
After 2006 the crew embarked on a new international project that was produced solely in English. Fans first caught wave of the new project from the realm of the internet but soon enough the group had manufactured some massive hits that captured the rest of North America by storm. Some of these included Off The Hook (2006), Music Is My Hot Hot Sex (2008), and Move (2008).
The version below came to us from the bilingual music blog Et Musique Pour Tous. I couldn’t find any copies of the 7″ vinyl Cut Copy remix I love so much. I swear I had a copy around here somewhere, but if you have one and are authorized to share it, please send it our way.
The music video above was shot in Barcelona and was directed by Keith Schofield.
Here’s another fantastic combo! The Twelves + Munk come together to produce one dynamite remix called Violent Love. The Brazilian Twelves hit us a lot over these past few years with their amazing remixes. They are quite possibly the best in that department we have ever had. Statements like that of course are pretty subjective but it’s hard not to agree when you are mixing the kind of stuff you can hear below and these beauties from the archives.
Munk on the other hand has also received his share of attention on A/N but since we have never fully given the man a proper introduction… Munk is the project of Mathias Modica. Besides producing music and djing, Mathias runs Germany’s Gomma Label with his buddy Jonas Imbery aka Telonius. The label of WhoMadeWho, Moulinex, Phenomenal Handclap Band and others. Currently Mathias is living between Marseille and Berlin and finished his third album last February with guest vocalists from New Young Pony Club, Koko from Napoo and others. It is a great album that can be found via beatport.
As a bonus enjoy the video to La Musica below, one of the many fantastic singles that can be found on his last album.
