Magic Machines – “Come Back”

Happy Thanksgiving to those in The States! Enjoy one last tasty morsel from our favorite Los Angeles hipstertronic project, Magic Machines. His new single is “Come Back”, maybe put it on later to help rouse you from any minor food comas that often come with tryptophan intake….He’s currently working on a full length that should arrive this spring, with two of the LP’s tracks being offered before it’s release. For now, check out “Come Back” and download it as an mp3 or wav from www.magicmachinesmusic.com…

Foster the People – Pumped Up Kicks (SAUR Bootleg)

The new remix from SAUR, is his rendition of Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks”. Granted, there are a million “Pumped Up Kicks” remixes floating around, but how many of those are dripping with SAUR’s dirty-dutch demeanor? Not many, so try something new and enjoy an excellent freebie from Holland, Pennsylvania’s SAUR

The New Division – True Lies / Saturday Night

The New Division have given us some pretty amazing remixes (John Kunkel’s remix of Toro Y Moi), but little original material since the release of the band’s stellar EP, The Rookie. We are happy to report a pair of fresh originals have arrived via the band’s soundcloud, and the Riverside CA four-piece have continued to use their retro-synths to create some sweepingly beautiful moments on both “True Lies” and “Saturday Night”. I love how unabashedly proud The New Division are of the crisp modernity they bring to sounds initially introduced by the likes of Joy Division, New Order, and Depeche Mode. Currently on our “must watch list”, everything we get from The New Division is highly anticipated, and we will continue to alert you when the guys quietly drop their next gripping original…

EDWIN VAN CLEEF special

Edwin van Cleef who now resides in Leeds, England, has most certainly come a long way in very short period of time and with most gracious thank you’s & hugs to his honourable Father-in-chief; his Dad has inspired him to come up with even greater up n’ coming reaches and career minded heights.

Having a remix history which has stopped on by the detached houses of Bat For Lashes, Mille, The Futureheads and Funkstar De Luxe. Edwin continues on with a brand new EP scheduled for July.. a heavily exciting springtime DJ mix, a dangerously effective Phoenix cover in ‘Lisztomania,’ and two porthole wonders remixing a Chilly Gonzales track and a Nelly Furtado nugget along the way.

The world is indeed full of little n’ large oyster shells, but on this day, we gloss over again a sprinkle pearls worth of May time Edwin van Cleef magic.

MIGHTY MOUSE Mousecast 04 (Part Two) + Between The Pavement And The Stars

Part Two of Mighty Mouse’s Mixtape ‘Remixes Edits and Originals’ has just landed Aerials! And from first glance of their tracklisting then this May’s Mousecast 04 sets up to be one of their finest showcases yet. Initial listens tell me that there are some beautiful surprises to savour, so with a delightful euphoric opening that transcends into a sublime bit of audio wizardary.. a’la zero-pots-n-pans DJ mixing.. then the merry month of May 2011 is shaping up to be a cracker for M.M!

To make things even more exciting for Mighty Mouse, ‘Between The Pavement And The Stars’ is their first track to be released in 2011 from their new concept as a live band, and with a brilliant selection of remixes forthcoming from Cosmonauts, Edwin Van Cleef, Blamma! Blamma!, Tronik Youth and Mario Basanov, ‘Between The Pavement And The Stars’ is setting up to be a very well rounded release.

In the meantime, ‘Between The Pavement And The Stars’ provides us with an outlook into their new found style as a live band, and as the track in question floats off into a radio friendly grace with sprinkles of rolling drum riffs and aromas of studio-album Basement Jaxx sprinkles, the sharply squeezed keys and electronica stabs will become all too familiar after the third or fourth listen. Guaranteed.

Not to outdo the true art of surprise, there will also be even more tricks up Mighty Mouse’s sleeves for later on this year and an EP of theirs will drop vigorously in July 2011 too.

If you’re in the UK and you want to catch M.M. live, then they will be performing @ 93ft East in London on Friday 13th May 2011.

When the cat’s away the Mighty Mouse’s will sure indeed play…

+ don’t forget.. just like always, all Mousecast’s are available to download for free.

Eddie Hoey vs. Monie Love – Its A Shame (Bootleg)

1990 was indeed a fantastic year for Monie Love’s chart friendly tune ‘It’s A Shame.’ As was the need with high tops, wearing pin badges on your denim jacket and having holes in your jean thighs + knee parts too.. 2011 harks a soon to be announced tidal wave of nineties inspired EDM future-hits and reminiscent creative-wonders to shirk a great big grin at, and have a full-on dance too.

Eddie Hoey from out of “thee land of me ol’ pirates” – me thinks, induces a clever bit of housey-clap-awe and pleases the aural effects with some tight filters and rolling stabs in all the right places.

Eddie Hoey’s ‘Tonight’ also features in its Original and glorious Nacey remix forms, so for a latest release that throws off a cool, but well executed Phil Collins sample, I am excited and pleased to showcase this terrific Eddie Hoey single for all your naughty and kind Aerial Noise dot com ways.

Let’s have a party tonight! I’m buying!

THE COMPLETE ROBYN DOCUMENTARY.

Home of the Swedish House Mafia, Eric Prydz, The Knife, John Dahlbäck, Avicii, Lykke Li, Adam Beyer, Minilogue and many, many other talented beings.. Robyn and Sveriges TV record a one hour long documentary together highlighting the artist’s initial days as a nineties artist, through to her work on last year’s “Body Talk” – with segments of special off-the-cuff interviews from former managers, music producers and her all important family, spilling the beans about her hectic childhood.

The documentary is entirely in Swedish, however if you glance your eyes below to that ol’ famous You Tube “up-arrow icon” in the bottom right hand corner of the videos.. and then click “CC,” the English subtitles are shown for your viewing pleasure. Thanks goes out to You Tuber – R8ght for providing the translation.

BRITNEY SPEARS – Till The World Ends (Bloody Beetroots Remix)

She’s had her up’s n’ downs, but thankfully she’s managed to pull herself from out of that hole that she once found herself in a couple of years back. Fast forward to 2011, Spears’ A&R team decide to give her a brand new clubland uplift, and with no boardroom arguments in tow.. they decide to rope in the Bloody Beetroots to give Britney a near non-recognizable makeover! Full of purple pact, direction and tasty B. Beetroot action, all clubbing and music hopefuls should end up clearing their plates of their vegetables in double quick, 5 minute-army-style!

BEACH BOYS – Good Vibrations (Stanton Warriors Mix)

Emotionally able to deliver multiple and subliminal telephone connections across all sorts of dance floors, Stanton Warriors craft a whopping remix via the world renown classic 60’s group called The Beach Boys. Pure wonderness has been achieved, with even more expert tutelage-tunage over on their own blog! Genius stuff!

FRANKLIN – I Know (Com Truise Remix)

Oysters n’ pearls can sometimes be found in the oceans, but Franklin-Swarovski’s are always the most sought after. Introducing Com Truise as a fresh new electronic force to be reckoned with, C.T. continues on from his work on the TRON Legacy: Reconfigured soundtrack and Jedi-jumps his talents across a Franklin beauty that is all too fit for a king. Electro-brilliant at is rawest, this should hopefully bound any miss timely made saber-swipes quickly.

Hussle Club – Loose Tights (Com Truise Tight Pants Remix)

JANET JACKSON – Pleasure Principle (Over The Top Remix)

Straight outta the confines of Los Angeles comes a sure-fire-winner from OTT. Staggeringly created with a total respect for the Original, there can only be one, Janet “Over The Top” Jackson. Pleasure Principle Lush has entered the building!

JANET JACKSON – Pleasure Principle (Over The Top Remix)

KYLIE – Better Than Today (The Japanese Popstars Remix) [Parlophone]

Pop icon Kylie, wiggles her bum at another modern day classic amongst the always eager and always watchful eye of The Japanese Popstars trinity. With all the bassy and electricity that is evident in this rising remix, it’s no surprise that this sounds like a couple of fire alarms and car alarms going off all at once! But besides that analogy, this remix does the very dancey business and scares any bad guys away!

NICKY RAGE vs. SKRILLEX vs. LA ROUX

Besides the bad idea of layering Busta Rhymes vocals over Tiësto vs. Diplo – ‘C’mon,’ Nicky Rage sends us his own genius mixtape of tight n’ spacey lyrical flow over Skrillex’s unbelievable remix of La Roux’s, ‘In For The Kill.’

Totally refreshing to hear this in this context, so if you haven’t heard the Original umpteenth times already, then get ready to inject a new audio outtake on your very La Roux ears!

Nice one Nicky!

LA ROUX – In For The Kill (Skrillex Remix) (Nicky Rage Re-Vocal-Edit)

VANILLA ICE – Ice Ice Baby (New Romantic Mix) [SBK Records]

Back in 2009/2010 there was an absolutely dodgy ‘housewives choice version’ of this track that re-surfaced slightly via the help of some immature, UK, pre schooler twins. They actually managed to rope in the actual Vanilla Ice (from out of his hiding place) and back into THEIR own public domain which was “not cool” to see in the slightest.

To top that all off, Halifax – the UK’s most, well-known building society – (with no sense and decorum), decided to use the ‘Ice Ice Baby’ idea in one of their adverts just to TRY and make themselves look ‘cool and with-it’ with the general public in an (hand over ones embarrassed face) attempt to advertise their most recent mortgage policy.

Cringing nonetheless, I hope that any inadvertent, continued listening to V.I.’s Original hasn’t put you off the tune of ‘Ice Ice Baby’ altogether, as I’m about to reveal a virtually unheard and unknown remix that sprung up on a 2008 CD from the very man himself.

See what you think about this New Romantic remix and don’t be afraid to drop back any comments Aerials!
