Outstandingly refreshing and taken from his forthcoming album entitled “Ottawa Pt.2,” Monks & Melrose has returned with a beautiful, modern vintage follow-up that is stuck in-between the worlds of Nirvana, sub bass and unearthly spiritual guitars strings / faint piano chords – making its appeal sound like you’re actually watching an old black & white movie unfold in front of your very eyes.

With many exciting and subtle pleasures spread across Monks & Melrose’s “Ottawa Pt.2” LP such as ‘Julians Big Guitar,’ Green Matter,’ ‘Homemade,’ ‘Whistle Pop,’ and ‘The Swings,’ preciousness-personified has been dictated across this ten track album in perfect measure.

Back in 23 October 2011, we debuted ‘Dinosaurs’ on Aerialnoise as one heck of a positive stream of “it sounds like > (fill-in-the-blanks..)” to spectacular appraisal. May 2012 rolls its bird-tweeting head around and we witness a remix from Germany’s Hamburg/Lübeck Kelek that churns away at Pretty Boy Makes Rave and his own ‘Alaska’ production quite romantically.
