DJ Embassy always thought Gotye sounded like Sting so he put together a mashup using stems from a police track (can’t stand losing you) and the voice of Gotye, it turned out rather well. As the original track by Gotye is UK No1 last week he thought he’d send the track out again for all of our readers to hear!

Well, it’s very messy. I think those instruments don’t sound good together. Also chorus doesn’t work well here. I can’t really listen to it. The Police wouldn’t do it that way. In my opinion that’s just some noises put together.

Well one of my favorite songs of all time by the Police mised with one of the best new artists I’ve heard in a long time!!! I’m a fan!
It doesn’t sound too bad, but I’m kind of missing something. I think it would maybe help if the chorus from “I Can’t Stand Losing You” would be built in to “Somebody That I Used to Know” (around the 1:33 mark) to portrait the inner conflict of the guy being left. And/Or replace the parts of the song sung by Kimbra with the Police song? So, basically, to have the Gotye song be the singer’s outer voice, while the Police is his inner voice. Thoughts?
However, both songs are great individually.
