Replete with the big bass line that yanks me in every time, Kauf’s latest sees none of the stylistic departures I’d been afraid of. Anyone with any awareness of “When You’re Out”, or the thriller “Relocate”, will immediately recognize Kauf’s playfully foreboding undertones, and the methodical pounding of those dungeon drums, on his new remix of the Tony Castles track, “Heart in the Pipes”. It’s exactly what we where hoping for from Kauf, whose stylistic identity is reinforced with every dark, new chapter, and I can’t wait to hear the new original stuff in the works.
