It was great to hear from Tom Oke, who was good enough to drop an incendiary little nugget in our collective laps with his intense remix of Madonna’s Justify My Love. Oke’s Luxar project has yielded nothing but bangers thus far, and we can’t stop gushing about the Arrival EP, still offered as a free download you can nab here. The Luxar “Refix” has done just that, fixed a pretty decent pop song by creating something danceable, while retaining, and even enhancing, it’s tangible sexual tension. I love the savage percussion that sounds like the snap of a whip…kinda recalls of the original song’s video, and revives those grainy depictions of bondage designed to offend baby boomers…
