Its back to the really old skool via Talk’s UK Garage-like remix of Canblaster’s ‘Jetpack’ folks! Whisking off some very seminal and classic reminiscent beats, Sounds Of Sumo provide us with a unreleased Talk remix special which celebrates a small taste of what made the UK Garage sound/era so special throughout the Nineties.
Evident that the true body of one’s genre sound doesn’t become dated or tired, Sounds Of Sumo will be releasing the Jetpack Remixes EP on 11th April 2011 through our ol’ favourites on Junodownload and Beatport, together with re-rubs and glossy finishes from Kry Wolf, Chaos In The CBD, Spox, Ceeda and Maddjazz on tracks – ‘Jetpack,’ ‘Thunderdome Got Crunk’ and ‘Dawgs In Da House.’
Support has been coming in good n’ proper by BBC Radio 1’s Rob Da Bank and former Radio 1 Legend, “Dame” Mary Anne Hobbs, so in adding Diplo, Sinden, Busy P, Surkin and Brodinski to name but a few followers, it seems that ‘Jetpack’ will be shooting on skywards for months and years to come.
