I remember when we first met…she was wearing these painted-on jeans…and she told me I was the tiger she wanted to tame. It all happened so fast, I mean… I was just running my game, in search of a good time, love was the furthest…furthest from my mind. It takes a certain bravery to attempt to replicate the same playful swagger of a Billy Ocean, while belting out the hopelessly cheesy lyrics to “Caribbean Queen”. Thankfully, as summer nears, the men of a&r summoned the courage to revive the American poolside anthem. Rocko Rochee and Alex Kramer are specialists in masquerading pop music as electronica, as they strive to achieve the “ perfect hybrid of human and machine.” They certainly nailed the Ocean cover, delivering something that oozes summertime chicanery. This was a great introduction to a&r, who plan on releasing their second EP, Aquarium, March 31st, and in the mean time check out a pair of bonus a&r remixes below!
