MADISON – The Noise Some People Make EP [G Records]

Not much is known about this newly found electro-type-pop artist known as Madison (who’s name by the way, is exactly the same as a very infamous, 80′s New Jersey band, who have now split up.) But nonetheless, we single out one of her four tracks off this EP, as we think this is the most strongest out of the four.

‘#1’ has this crystal clear, rocky atmosphere to it (not the boxer), which wouldn’t sound out of place alongside your collection of Goldfrapp or Ladytron tracks. Production wise on ‘#1’ is great and sends to the soul euphoria like senses without being too cheesy/predictable with the sounds.

The other two tracks featured are not really ones you would want to play alongside your Grum’s or your Deadmau5 gems but a special mention has to go out to ‘Hot Hot Love’ towards the last refrain, as she chants “H.O.T.L.O.V.E” over & over again. That bit of the vocal alone has got the potential to be made into a great remix, so only time will tell.

The rest of that track is a little bit too Hubba Bubba for me, but despite that, I’ll leave this in the hands of our followers and you can let the music do the talking.

I just hope “the noise” she references to in her album title isn’t about the sound you make when you do a little poopsie!
