TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB – Something Good Can Work [Kitsuné]

Born from out of Bangor & Donaghadee, Northern Ireland these three lads have come up with a massive ‘thumbs up’ rock band known as Two Door Cinema Club. Apparently, their name came about after one of the band members mispronounced the name of their local cinema – Tudor Cinema – and got this new name of sorts, stuck.

Signed to Kitsuné Music which has been a crafting home for autoKratz, Digitalism, La Roux and Phoenix; T.D.C.C. have gone on to stir up a mighty whirlwind in the Alternative and eclectic dance music scenes and have been able to release a brilliant debut album entitled “Tourist History” which came out in the brisk month of March 2010.

On their single release which we have here, newcomers to the scene Beatacue provide a Switch-like remix which throws things off kilter in a very nice way indeed. Blamma Blamma goes all dreamy and then breakdown mad towards the end (so definitely a flavoursome mix for the electro posse about), and the Crookers go ol’ old skool house on the tweaks n’ knobs – with the Original Mix in itself being sublime.

Finally, the guys known as Ted & Francis provide a relaxing element to the single release to finally wrap up, but the real jewel in the crown is The Twelves Remix by a nose.

Once you’ve heard this to the end then you’ll truly know what I’m going on about!

Pure class!
