Skating off glimmers of audio ice from a collection of heroes such as The Editors, The Killers, Depeche Mode, New Order and The Human League, Brighton’s own four piece known as Mirrors are rocking the audio waves in the form of some really good “synth-dicated” electronic music.
“Broken By Silence” heads up the title of this album and being signed to the home of Fatboy Slim and Midfield General (in Skint Records) is always a good thing to boast about to the in-laws or over the barbeque I would imagine.
Surfing through the elegant sounds of 80’s based synths, sharp dynamic chords and energetic razzmatazz is a group who supported Delphic throughout January 2010 with an equal undiminished spirit to boot.
Here, Mirrors provide us with a charming album that caters for all emotional bases involving sadness, joy, elation and dance. And not forgetting those extra important remixes too!
The cover of ‘Look At Me’ by Laura Cantrell is a curveball amongst this album, but a very healthy Major League curveball to say the least, so do check these fellas out!
