Traveling into the dark abyss of electro house, the DJ trio from Chicago known as Midnight Conspiracy shine a bright and impenetrable light on remix artisty. As Midnight Conspiracy charges forward on their Arcanum Arcanorum Tour, covering over 40 cities in 2 continents, they take a brief moment to release their latest remix of Moneypenny’s Destroy.

Kylie Minogue + Yasutaka Nakata

Yasutaka Nakata is a Japanese DJ and Producer. He formed the group capsule in 1997 with vocalist Toshiko Koshijima when they were both 17. They officially debuted in 2001. From there, Yasutaka moved on to produce the all-female Pop group Perfume in 2003 and oversaw their official debut in 2005. In the years after he worked with many prominent Japanese Pop artists including Ami Suzuki and Meg, M-Flo and Leah Dizon. Also currently on his plate is his own record label called contemode, which runs in association with Yamaha.

Earlier this year (not quite sure the release date as I definitely missed this) Yasutaka became the first Japanese artist to officially remix Kylie Minogue, reworking the track Get Outta My Way. It’s a fantastic remix full of catchy and sultry Pop breaks. Personally, I’m not a Kylie fan myself but if she ever added Yasutaka to the producing team I may just gander her way a lot more. He sure has a lot of talent and she would surely benefit from him.

Florrie [Introduction]

Florrie’s first EP Introduction was released online for free last November 10.2010. There is also 12″ vinyl that can be ordered at the florrie shop, or you can just straight up support her by purchasing your tracks on itunes.

Since the release there’s been a handful of dope remixes coming our way. My personal favourite is the light electro-pop Body Language remix. The Brooklyn dance-pop group have a percussion-based style that really does a number to Florrie’s pop vocals, creating one dynamic and lucid remix. It’s candy to my ears.

The album is great. Grab yourself a copy and/or listen to each track by hitting her website at florrie.com.

Daft Punk [Tron Legacy]

Daft Punk’s affiliation with the soon to be released Disney megamonster sequel Tron Legacy is making quite the bang across the internet. Since we love everything Daft Punk, I couldn’t let this go unnoticed.

The album leaked about a week ago (I still recommend grabbing yourself a copy as I really don’t like to advocate piracy). However, you should all know that this is nothing like Discovery 2, so don’t expect to be able to drop the album at every party you attend. All the tracks were produced for the Disney movie. Nonetheless, the duo are back producing which makes me more and more excited about the possibility of another album to come across us in the distant future. Hopefully the idea isn’t too far off from their minds as well.

To celebrate everything going on we have a sample of one of the hotter tracks off the official soundtrack entitled Derezzed.

Also included is one of the many official trailers for the film. The film is due out December 17.2010. If you think it looks good now just wait until you see it in 3D. It certainly is a step up from Snow White, Beauty and The Beast, and all those others; not to suggest the cult classics are bad but Jeff Bridges + 3D super advanced motorcycles sound pretty cool.

Small Pyramids

Last week’s post on Small Pyramids has me hooked on the new Another Way To Feel EP. It’s full of disgustingly good disco funk beats. The EP titled track, Another Way To Feel, has quickly become one of my all time favourites on the album.

Inside you’ll find a stunning backdrop with a unique deep house flavour. To add to the instrumental destruction, Zach Hunsaker throws in some light horns that give the track a whole new dimension. It’s sensational.
