Pnau – Embrace [Will Reckless Bootleg]

Thursday, December 30th, 2010

Sydney, Australia’s Will Reckless has yet another great bootleg of PNAU’s Embrace for us all to take advantage of today. Reckless, who has just released his third single Ma Ma Alle on Beatport, received major radio and live support from artists Tiesto and David Guetta for his bootleg of B.O.B’s Airplanes; and later received tons of attention from Radio 1′s Kissy Sell Out for the latest single Disco Tweakin’.

The newest is a fantastic rendition of the old classic.

Check out the new production on Beatport today.

Natasha Bedingfield + Dirty Tees

Wednesday, December 29th, 2010

Natasha Bedingfield released her third studio album Strip Me on December 12.2010. To celebrate the release, The Dirty Tees remixed her very first single off the new album entitled Touch and sent it to us last week. It’s a great remix that brings in electronic elements the original was missing.

*     *     *

Based in Book St., London, Bedingfield debuted in the 1990s as a member of the Christian dance/electronic group The DNA Algorithm with her siblings Daniel Bedingfield and Nikola Rachelle. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Bedingfield recorded rock and gospel songs for the Hillsong London Church, while Daniel went on to enjoy success with hits Gotta Get Thru This and If You’re Not The One.

Bedingfield released her first album, Unwritten, in 2004. The album contained primarily uptempo pop songs and was influenced by R&B music; it enjoyed international success with over 2.3 million copies sold worldwide and she received a Grammy Award nomination for “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” for the title track Unwritten. Bedingfield’s second album, N.B. (2007), was less successful but yielded the UK top 10 singles I Wanna Have Your Babies and Soulmate.

Most of her accomplishments lie within the realm of Pop but The Dirty Tees help bring that familiar electronica vibe back to her repertoire all while spicing things up a bit.

Purchase Bedingfield’s new album off itunes.

Moonlight Matters Remixes

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

Moonlight Matters is what happens when the sun goes down, The mood is right, and creativity is set loose…

Sebastiaan Vandevoorde already has some mileage on the counter of his vintage synth stacked studio. After 1.5 years of being the Composer/Producer of another Belgium based act called Villa where he remixed Moby, Gorillaz, Keane, Ali Love and Findlay Brown; sculpted exquisite reworks of Tina Turner, Agneta Falstag and Anita Meyer; scored a summer hit with Beats of Love, and played the best venues and Festivals from Fabric/Social Club/Razzmatazz to Bestival/Oxygen/Pukkelpop the time has come to strike out on his own with a solo project called Moonlight Matters.

Seba’s style is hard to pinpoint but certainly has no lack of personality, his versatility is his strongest point and he’s always able to adjust to the right mood for any kind of smart-witted melodic dance music with a great wow factor. His music won’t just set your feet on fire and tear up a crowd, it will also make your mind tickle in a surprisingly emotional fashion. Starting off with remixes for The Drums/Digitalism/Pacific!/Silver Columns and many more pending this new project promises to grow out to a long term eargasm. You can expect well thought out compositions and surgically inserted powerbeats on a bed of timeless sounds and exciting arrangements. Coming from the same little environment as Soulwax, Aeroplane and The Glimmers, Moonlight Matters is definitely here to stay.

Year In Review 2010

Monday, December 27th, 2010

I originally planned to have this out on January 1st, 2011 but a wise friend recently said it would be nice to have the top 100 list for his upcoming New Year’s Eve party and well… I thought some of you may also share the same sentiment. Enjoy.

*     *     *

Wow! What a year! Personally it was the hardest year I have ever had. Academically, I was finally able to finish my University degree and prepare to move on to bigger and better things. But thanks to the way the Canadian Government has handled the economic situation over the last couple years I’m finding jobs in my field scarce and very hard to come by. So I’m now faced with the decision to either a) further my education and become even more qualified when employment starts opening up again (and thus have a stronger starting income) or b) take my dreams on the road and once again experience the world. Having been to China, Japan, Austria, Germany, France, and some other smaller, more remote places in the past, I’m thinking it’s about that time to buy a ticket overseas. That being said… anyone in Europe or Asia have a nook in their place I can set up shop in?

Besides all that, this past year had me move a total of three times, and four times if you count the library while I studied furiously for seminar exams/papers. I’m now very excited to see and experience what 2011 has in store for myself. But I don’t think I could have quite made it through all the shitty times without such great music coming to us this past year.

I want to personally thank all the artists who submitted music our way. You helped lift us up when times were low and brought us back to the dance floor. I also want to personally thank our fans and readers who made this blog what it is. Without all of you this site would just be a bunch of empty words. You are why we do what we do and I hope it never stops.

Without rambling anymore, here’s our own little recap on 2010.

We wish you all the very best for 2011!

Ali Love [Moscow Girl]

Monday, December 27th, 2010

You may well have heard the name Ali Love before, either as the singer on the Chemical Brothers’ smash Do It Again, or on his own earlier solo singles. But even if somehow you haven’t come across him already, one thing is certain: from here on in, there’ll be no escaping Ali Love.

After a year of teasing singles and scattered releases, last summer marked the apex of what has been long awaited from Ali Love. In April 2009 Ali Love signed a new record deal with Back Yard Recordings and Blue Mountain publishing. Look for the break out of powerful singles such as Smoke & Mirrors, previously released on July 26th and the highly anticipated release of Ali’s full length album Love Harder last August.

Fiero [Boxing Day Conglomerate]

Sunday, December 26th, 2010

The South Cal trio Fiero are ridiculously good. Sprouting from an insanely fresh electro-pop scene, these guys have slowly perfected their beat to the extent that their electrified versions to the following remixes will have you craving for so much more. I’m big into the Yamaha and Escapade re-works right now. They are excellent.

Fiero is Nicky Savage, Sam Aftermath, and Jeremy Giovinazzo.

Check them out via Soundcloud here.

Return To Mono [Framebreaker]

Friday, December 24th, 2010

San Francisco band Return To Mono’s new album Framebreaker will hit the shelves in a few months on Jan 13. On Framebreaker, Return To Mono delivers a lush and edgy collage of rock and electro that can loosely be described as Florence And The Machine meets Ratatat, with soulful emotionally charged female vocals over crunchy rock steady beats, Moog Voyagers, and swirling guitars.

The new full length Return To Mono album recorded in SF and mastered by Mike Zirkel (Beck, Garbage) @ the legendary Smart Studios MA. will be released January 13.2010 available nationally through Audio Villain Records and InGrooves and IDC distribution, with a 20 State US / CAN tour with press campaigns by Girlie Action and radio by AAM.

It’s the first thing you’ll want to mark down on that new 2011 calendar.

Futurecop! + Silicone Project

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

Manzur Iqbal Ahmed and Peter Carrol met at College and have remained best friends ever since, sharing a passion for their childhood movies and cartoons, which has evolved into Futurecop! A sound that is electronic melodies, power synth chords, and the music inspired by their childhood memories, from Michael J Fox to Nintendo to Mysterious Cities of Gold to Transformers to Jem to My little Pony to TMNT to The Wizard etc.

“We consciously never thought about genres; all we had was a synthesizer program on our laptop to make what was in our heads.”

In 2009 they signed with LA based label IHEARTCOMIX for USA & Canada and Fatboy Slim’s Label Southern Fried Records for the rest of the world for their debut EP “The Unicorn & the Lost City of Alvograth”. They remain busy with various live performances all over the world (including Miami WMC, SXSW Festival, The Big Chill Festival) and have just got back from their tour in the United States and are now working on their Debut Album.

“The Remixes ♥” is a great selection of fantastic remix work made by themselves and some special friends they have met in the Future Pop/Synth Pop scene over the last few years. This includes Anoraak & Stephen Falken from the “Valerie Collective”, Digikid84, Swiss producers Cryptonites, the mysterious Ooga Booga, Swedish hip hop duo Lorentz & M.Sakarias, Lauren Flax, Ghosthustler, Silicone Project and the dreamy dance experience Discoballistic. The EP also includes some bonus new original material from Futurecop!

The collection was released via KIEZ BEATS on August the 31st. 2010.

Selena Gomez + Mr. Vega + Nicolas Strands

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

After the massive success of the Rihanna bootleg, Mr. Vega and Nicolas Strands came together again to produce another dynamite bootleg to Selena Gomez’s Off The Chain. The duo are creating quite the synthetic wave of house music that’s surfing across the blogosphere. I have a feeling that this won’t be their last either as it’s pretty spectacular.

Special thanks to the duo for sending it our way.

Keeno [Hurt]

Monday, December 20th, 2010

iQ Entertainment is proud to introduce new-comer Keeno to the world of drum-n-bass with his new epic single Winding:

Every once and a while a new producer emerges that commands the ears of the upper echelon of music, and Keeno is quickly establishing himself with that voice.  iQD007 is Keeno’s debut drum-n-bass release featuring his lovely tunes Winding and Hurt.  Both are emotional, piano driven pieces with Winding being a more sentimental piece and “Hurt” living up to it’s name.  Additionally, Hurt finds the young musician singing the heartfelt lyrics featured on the song.  Due to Keeno’s profound understanding of musical theory, this release is for everyone from drum-n-bass heads to classical music listeners.

Keeno aka Will Keen began his musical training at quite a young age, beginning as choir boy and later learning piano by ear.  Will’s interests turned towards drum-n-bass and dubstep after discovering the sounds of High Contrast and the rest of Hospital Records in his early the teens.  Taking what he knew about classical music, Keeno began crafting his first bass oriented tunes, and within weeks, the young man from Winchester began quite a stir on Sound Cloud.  With his amazing ability to craft melodies, Keeno brings a refreshing classiness to dance music that is often missing in today’s barrage of mechanical drums and aggressive basslines.

Mediafire is the new Blogger!

Monday, December 20th, 2010

After years of supporting Mediafire, both financially and through copious amounts of traffic, we are very happy to announce that we are done using the shiesty company. They have ‘accidentally’ cancelled our service one too many times and now they have turned into the new Blogger over US Digital Millenium Contract Agreement (DMCA) complaints removing files and sections of our account without even asking for permission.

I fully support and respect artists if they wish to have their files removed but acknowledge us in this process. About 90% of the music posted on here comes from the hard work of PR firms and independent artists who send us countless emails asking to have their music posted on here for free. Therefore much of the content Mediafire removes, we actually have permission to share with the world. That is why we try and post as many beatport, itunes and juno links, etc, to go alongside these files so that individuals who truly enjoy what they hear can actually support their favourite artists.

When we try to fight these actions Mediafire continuously ignores us. We never delete an email and therefore have tons of thousands of archived info from fans, artists, and PR firms looking to get involved with us.

I don’t mind taking links down so if you are an artist and feel like we have violated you in some way, shape, or form please please please! let us know. But due to the recurring acts of crappy service provided by the ‘free’ filesharing company that is Mediafire, we will no longer be sharing Mediafire links on our site.

I actually have a server and will start self-hosting these files in a direct-link format, which means viewers will still be able to get daily samples from their favourite artists through us only and not through this third party system.

*     *     *

To download music, viewers will need to right click on the audio file link (play button) and save the target file in your desired directory. The only real change to the actual website will come in the form of the audio player.

*     *     *

Since being active with Mediafire we have graciously helped spread over 340 000 downloads off their ‘free’ service. This means we have sent over 340 000 people to Mediafire in the two years we’ve been running. They do not deserve this type of traffic.

It will take time for the actual changes to occur, but I’m sick and tired of disappointing viewers and artists when their content goes missing.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please post comments and concerns if you have any. We would love to hear them.

Sincerely,

The Aerial Noise Team

Booka Shade + Russ Chimes

Monday, December 20th, 2010

We just received this brand new Russ Chimes remix to Booka Shade’s Regenerate. It’s a little different than the standard Chimes stuff we’re accustomed too but I’m loving it. It holds on to one epic synth bassline that will keep you dancing all night long. Christmas came a little early this year.
