Orneborg – Pierre In The Summer

Orneborg’s Pierre In The Summer is a fascinating set of eclectic disco beats. I find it extremely captivating. The track, which is off his EP Smells Like Spring, changes tempo randomly throughout but maintains a pulsating background to fully grasp the listener. Pretty awesome interchanges if you ask me. Let the melodic tech-house carry you away.

If you also dig what you hear, check out Orneborg on his myspace and find the EP here.

Sandiego – Memories

Sandiego can put together some pretty intricate material. The Milano DJ/Producer shows off a little in Memories, a heavy hitting techno-electric combo that is simply dynamite. This track is off his EP entitled Memories which is now out on Carl Craig’s Planet E. If you like what you hear, you will definitely need to grab the EP- links listed below. Space Ranger – Phase Fever

Space Ranger’s Phase Fever sure is easy to drift off with. It’s a 6.5 minute disco-base instrumental packing tons of heat. The catchy rifts and piano sequences just get to me. After awhile I find myself just playing it over again and again.

The German trio started producing and spinning since the late 1980s/early 90s influenced by some deep club beats. Lately they decided to settle down under a unified project. And thus, through the combination of analog equipment and intricate production techniques, the crew began twisting oldschool dance, disco, and soul records into one creating an unbelievable sound. Space Ranger is crazy fresh. And yet, even with the hype they don’t take it too seriously:

“It’s very hard to take yourself to seriously when you look at the world from outer space.” (Thomas K. Mattingly II)

What’s Hot This Week! [Monarchy + Holy Ghost/Dixon + Miami Horror]

There has been lots of hot new things going down in music this past week that I haven’t had time to address. So here goes an attempt to fix that mistake.

Monarchy who are known for their softer disco-vibes get absolutely funkified when Holy Ghost touched up their track Love Get Out Of My Way. It still retains the original disco vibe that’ll have dancefloors craving more by song’s end!

Monarchy – Love Get Out Of My Way (Holy Ghost feat. Dixon Remix)

I’m loving every remix to Miami Horror’s Moon Theory. The single is resurfacing with a number of dynamite remixes as the official video dropped to it. All of these are good, especially that tasty Sam La More mix to lead them off. Enjoy!

KA SO RE + Helsinki 78-82

KA SO RE is Finnish producer Jusso Malin and recently added Henri Seger. Together, along with a live accompanying band, the two create vast impressible instrumentals that are like no other. So when other Finnish crew Helsinki 78-82 got a hold of these tracks it was bound to take off. My newest favourite is a track entitled Bunnies, which you can all catch below.

Those Daze – Girl [When You...]

The sound from Those Daze is very diverse being driven on percussion, horns, funky drum patterns, party vocals, and soul. Right now the guys are currently deep in the studio, working on an official remix for Party Guy Records. It’s gonna be a big tweaked-out banger. Keep an eye out for the groups upcoming collabs with Will Miles, D Star, Kevin King, and more, and watch for their new mix on Westbay Music Groups’ “I Love Hawaii” series coming soon!

For now stay fresh with these two gems.

Microclinic – Shield EP

Microclinic are a project from Milano, Italy making some pretty dramatic beats. Their album-titled track from their first EP entitled Shield is spectacular. It’s full of epic dreamy-disco synths and light sounds. My kinda stuff. You won’t want to miss out on the EP which you can grab samples of off their myspace

Or download it for FREE off the artists soundcloud page: direct link here. Be sure to thank Microclinic for their generosity.

Fromage Disco

Today we’re going to take a closer look at the nu disco vibe coming from Melbourne’s Fromage Disco. These guys have an unbelievable talent assembling funk remixes. I was a couple days early posting the Cullen remixes to Easily Impressed because I left one very important version out and that is the Silver Lining Special remix below.

A few other dope tracks to check out are You’re My Occupation by the one and only powerpop great Chez Jenkel from back in 09 and the Alex Ward Showcase remix shown in video-format below.

You guys should all check out more from Fromage Disco on beatport.

Magnavox – Through The Fire

Brand spankin’ new Magnavox has already left a lasting impression on me. Their first track Through The Fire is real dirty. It’s covered in a dark 80s/disco-revival-type sound. Real fresh and sassy. I think Magnavox are Spanish(?)… not quite sure, but what I do know is that the project is damn good. They appear to also run the blog Le Vudu and at least one of them has produced music under the alias JU. Being so new that’s all I have for now.

Check their myspace for updates often. It’s a little early for buy links but we’ll get there. Hit up their sound below.

Blake Lewis – Heartbreak On Vinyl [Chew Fu Remix]

Chew Fu is back dropping remixes like no tomorrow. One of the newest to stick to me hit me last weekend called Heartbreak On Vinyl. It has a real clean electro-pop sound with some killer synths. But it isn’t the only mainstream remix you should be aware of coming from Chew. Hit up Dani D for those past remixes here.

I’m really digging the fresh new sound he’s rep’n. You may also recognize vocalist Blake Lewis from being the runner-up on the sixth season of American Idol. I’m not a big fan of the show but he does alright here.

Love Hits The Fan [DCUP + Bestrack + IAMONE]

Phonat’s single Love Hits The Fan was just re-released by One Love/Band Room from his self-titled album. To add to the release, the UK producer made a laidback second version of the track slowing things down a bit. Check it and grab it as a promo before heading over to buy the album, links listed below. And to make things even sweeter, grab a handful of those delicious Love Hits The Fan remixes that came to us over the years featuring some pretty spectacular artists…

What You Do [Saint Pauli Remix]

It’s always hard to post the very first track in June because there’s just something about today just screams summer. But nonetheless, I’m glad it’s finally here. Rather than drop something new, I thought I would turn to something that has been stirring the pot for the past few weeks. And that is Saint Pauli’s What You Do. The track really gets down about 1:45 in and when it does you’ll be glad you put on your headphones. Some great electro-house with a dirty appeal.

Happy summer everyone… make time to enjoy the weather.
