Helsinki 78-82 are sweet. I caught their newest Daydreaming thanks to the crew releasing it for free via their myspace. And well, that was pretty sweet. We haven’t had them on here before so I thought I would toss up a couple throwbacks to go along with the new. That So Lifelike remix is pretty timeless, I don’t think it will ever fall from being one of my most played tracks.
Well the mail has arrived. Over the past two months I have been absolutely terrible at responding to people so if you’re in that bunch I apologize! Because of all your support we received a plethora of great tracks- new and old. So before we get moving on into summer it’s time to rewind and clean out the inbox.
Hearing from artists and readers is exciting. I love comments and new music so being able to find both of those in one location is amazing. Feel free to get in touch with us anytime at aerialnoise@live.com. Thanks again for all the submissions.
Now it’s time to get on to the goods. Here’s some of the initial stuff we missed:
Follow up on any of the above artists through their myspace to hear more exclusive tracks, future show information, and links where you can purchase their music. Support your favourite artists!
Midnight Club are a great project hailing from France. They have their newest EP Time Machine out now. It has 5 stellar tracks reminiscent of some oldshool Giorgio Moroder. My favourite is a track called Hot Space, which is good enough to attract gunslinger WORSHIP to do up a splendid little remix to it. Find them both below!
Replay is another fabulous track that hits their latest EP Time Machine. Find it here.
Midnight Club sure have a certain kind of style to their music that’s like no other. They are signed to On The Fruit Records.
Italian-producer Lebatman recently released the dark two part series Stelarc I + Stelarc II. For me the dark, twisted sounds in the second version just edge out the first. But whatever you prefer, there’s no denying Lebatman’s talent. Great beats.
T-minus one week until school is finished! This should be the last round-up from me this month. I’ll finally be able to elaborate a little bit more on artists in the coming weeks. So until then keep rocking out to these… some are new, some are old but all are stamped with the wholesome goodness of Grade A quality- just like your morning eggs!
Cassian beats are spectacular! I ran into tons of new stuff that sparked up my library last week AND… I think you all will simply love these. If not well I’ll try again later to tease you with something similar. The Australian native has made quite the name for himself while reinvigorating dance floors everywhere.
Did you like those? I’m sure you’ll like some past Cassian too- find it HERE!
If those tracks didn’t do it for you maybe this will. The Exit Missile’sSidewinder contains my new favourite laid back funk beat. It’s absolutely delicious in almost every way. And to make things even more crazier the crew slaps it with some synth that accents the track so well.
I was so excited about the Midnight Conspiracy remix to Crystal CastlesCrimewave last week I went searching for more remixes this week. Alex Zelenka’s spin to Untrust Us is a light hypnotic wave of electro. Absolutely perfect for anytime of the day. The Chicago-based DJ has a wide variety of similar ‘emotronic’ tracks available on his myspace. Check em out there.
The last for this batch is Adam Kesher’s new single Hour of the Wolf. I find it real catchy and definitely something that will help you get from point A to point B. If you are an Adam Kesher fan I don’t have to tell you how innovative he can be when it comes to producing his own stuff. The new single stays true to this statement. With positive vibes throughout it’s easy to be infected with a sense of overwhelming happiness.
The new single from Familjen is out. I finally had a chance to hear it the other day and I simply loved it. Conquering the waves with its feel good vibe and pop-based rifts, När planeterna stannat is a phenomenal track for those sunny-filled days. It’s real catchy. The Stockholm crew are touring all month so if you’re in the area check in here for dates.
MOPP’s latest to come my way has me putting him on repeat. Dream About You is an electro-pop masterpiece with light and innovative beats coupled with some terrific vocals. The producer/musician is from a little village called Alloa near Glasgow, Scotland. But working from the small scene hasn’t restricted him thus far. With more music like this look for him to be a quick sign for any looking record label.
MOPP has many shows going on in the neighbouring big city of Glasgow, check the dates here.
Treasure Fingers released a brand new track last week. School prevented me from finding it earlier but it’s blindingly good! Very reminiscent of the good ol’ days when we used to hear a lot from Treasure Fingers. So because I missed this by so much you can find a variety of excellent remixes below to assist in celebrating the new! Welcome back TF!
What Am I Supposed To Do, will be included on a debut compilation LP of Treasure Fingers’ work called Life Of The Afterparty, out this summer on Fool’s Gold records.

DXR’s new track Wonka is a fantastic instrumental. The soft hypnotic rhythm covered in electro breaks hits me just right. When you put it altogether, DXR really makes some spectacular Tropical. ‘Dexter’ has many more great tracks available for sampling via myspace if you dig what you hear below. This track is off his Klakson label that he co-runs with Steffi.
Young Empires are a relatively new project based out of Toronto, ON. The guys behind it all are Robert Aaron Ellingson, Jake Palahnuk, and Matthew Vlahovich. You may remember Matt from his sick solo work in GoldenGirls. I loved the old project but the new is spectacular. They have a phenomenal fresh and innovative sound.
The above video is a teaser to their new single Rain of Gold. Enjoy! There’s tons of great tracks to check out on both myspace pages if you’re looking for more. I’m sure they’ll release a few tracks in the near future so stay tuned for that- you won’t want to miss out.
The trio are also hitting up much of the Toronto hot spots with tons of great established artists in the coming months. Check here for dates if you’re in the area!
Two whole weeks left until I’m back on here full time. Hopefully you are all enjoying the occasional round up that has been tossed up. I promise to get back to the ‘one artist a day-style’ posting in the next little bit so if you’re an artist looking for some spotlight keep the music coming. We love getting new stuff- or even just drop us a line to say hi.
Something Special is some electro funk at its finest. Nice rifts, sultry vocals, Max Sedgley puts it all together within this piece.
It’s been awhile since any new Crystal Castles remix has graced my library. Needless to say, problem solved. The Midnight Conspiracy remix to Crimewave is sick. It has a whole range of new elements to get attached too.
Cinnamon Chasers are great. I have been patiently waiting for Davies to toss out the original to the Diamond Cut remix of I Like Watching You posted months ago. It happened to come out within the past week and stays within the traditional soundscape/ light-electro style we grew accustomed too.
The Diamond Cut remix is a little more into the disco-scene so I thought I would re-post that for those who like to move a little bit more.
The Foamo / Warrior One combo in Centavo are quickly spreading around the blogosphere like an uncontainable brushfire: hot and outta control. The heavy beat has aspects of drum and bass while adding in nice sides of house creating some dirty electro.
The last few months I have been going back a little bit within the Andy Caldwell archives. The house-electro concept mixed in with funk beats is infectious. This remix is relatively new to me and just has that edge to push Andy Caldwell that much over the top. I love it.
Broke One’s music is sick! [see past]. I love the sporadic beats he comes up with and Lightheart really sticks to this mentality. It’s full of innovative breaks, synths, claps and more; truly a great feel-good track to start your day off right.
Lightheart came to me through funkism so thanks guys!
Housse De Racket are dropping their smash-hit single Oh Yeah! in the UK at the end of May. So far we have remixes from Barretso, Nighty Max, and We Love Machines. In the coming weeks a bunch more are expected to be released including remixes from Keenhouse, The Lowbrows, Walter Sobcek, DJ Tonka, Hemingway & Hidden Cat. Housse De Racket are set to release the original May 26.2010 on Kuskus. Stay tuned for that.
Housse are playing London’s Camden Crawl on May 01.2010.
Bradford Rice and Jake Carpenter are The Chaotic Good, a new project hailing from Lexington, USA. The duo sent us their brand new remix to Musikk Feat. John Rock’s Summer Lovin‘. It’s a dance anthem that seems fitting for this time of year.
If you’re near Lexington check out a number of local shows hitting the area by TCG April- June 2010. Go here for dates.
Vitalic’s hard hitting style grabs us all the way from France. His newest remix package features the single Second Lives off the album Flashmob, which is available now: buy: itunes / beatport.
The French DJ has quite a few shows booked in a mini-European tour lasting from April- July 2010. If you’re in Europe this summer and need a good show, look no further, dates are listed here.
