Electric Swing [Unknown Album]

Alright so a friend of mine came across what she depicted as ‘Electric Swing’.  Whatever it is, it’s fucking mint.

The problem is (and I must admit it is a pretty big problem), and that is we have no idea who is behind any of this.  These tracks are a rip off a ‘chain’ CD that somehow was passed through the reigns until it landed onto us.  Plus, it’s a burnt copy with no CD information and I don’t have an iphone with handy gadgets that tell me how the universe goes ’round, or more specifically, tell me who is behind these next few tracks.  So I digress from my rant and apologize if you want to know more! As do I.

Hopefully one of you out there reading this can take a listen and instantly tell me who this is.  I even recognize a couple samples within (or think I do), not sure if they’re originals or what and it’s killllllling me! I am amazed at your talentedness.  Talentedness… it’ll catch.

Below you will find a few samples from the album.

Parov Stelar – Catgroove’ *****

‘Mr. Scruff – Get A Move On’

‘G-Swing feat. Le Major Melon – La Voix Humaine’

De-Phazz – The Mambo Craze’

Please tell me the artist name, album name, or track titles if you know them! I would love to fill in the blanks.

Calvin Harris [You Used To Hold Me]

Calvin Harris’ new single You Used To Hold Me releases from the late album Ready for the Weekend next Tuesday, February 9th, 2010.  As a sample, Harris released the official music video, which until now, flew under my radar. The track is a pretty decent floor banger;

What we have in terms of available remixes is versions from Laidback Luke and Nero.  Check ‘em out below.  Nero’s take is pretty delicious.  Those that don’t want to wait until next Tuesday for the original may just have to take a gander over on hype machine.

Jazzfeezy Feat. August [Words Won't Do]

Jazzfeezy’s first single Words Won’t Do off the debut album Unveiling The Rapture is getting tons of attention across Toronto.  If you’re in the GTA, call up Toronto’s Flow 93.5 at 416-935-1935 to request and listen to the track free on the radio.

Words Won’t Do was co-produced by boi-1da (who also produced Drake’s Best I Ever Had, and the single Forever for Lil Wayne, Kanye, and Eminem) and t-minus (produced Ludacris’s How Long Can You).  August wrote the lyrics and provided the vocals.  Once the pieces were separate but ‘together’ in the geographical sense, Jazzfeezy along with George Seara of phase one studios (who has worked with Madonna, 50 Cent, Ludacris, and Rihanna), and Chris Athens of Sterling Song (worked on Timbaland’s ShocK Value II and Daughtry’s new album) refined its sound and got it to where this track is today.

Needless to say, lots of effort was put into this and it shows.

[Editor's Note- Feb 03.10: Jazzfeezy Feat August - Words Won't Do just made Toronto's top 20 list on HipHopCanada.com. Vote for it here to get it into the top 10!]

CFCF [More Remixes]

I can’t get enough of the piano-laced synthetic vibes in CFCF’s newer releases.  The tracks are brilliantly designed and always seem to put me in a relaxing mood. Raining Patterns is a great example of that phenomenal piano sequence.  Everything I come across is damn good!

Mike Silver sure is one talented artist.  He’s signed to Paper Bag Records & Acephale Records.
